Falling leaves

A colourful prompt for today…

Although the area near Heathcote isn’t known for Autumn displays like Bright or the Dandenongs, the Valley of Liquid Ambers is a magnificent sight at the moment.

I’ve loved Liquid Ambers since I was a girl helping my Nan rake the leaves under the tall specimen in her back yard. We have six on our block, including one with varigated leaves that my son Pip gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago, and I’m hoping to add a few more before Spring.

  1. Hi Sandra,
Just to say ‘thanks’ for your daily posts. I’m enjoying reading them. They are giving me some ideas for our reformed writers’ group, here in Yarram. Particulary taken with the liquid ambers. The pin oaks in our local park are beginning to take on their lovely deep red. I’ll bet you are glad you won’t be spending another winter in the shed!!

    Kind regards,

    Fay Reeve

    • Hi Fay,
Thank you. From my own experience, I know prompts really help so I’m glad you are finding them useful. I’m having lots of fun thinking up new photo ideas and going through my folders. Pleased to hear the group has reformed and I will be putting details about the competition on the blog later this week. Which reminds me – I must hurry up and get my efforts polished!!
Very glad to be out of the shed 🙂 I often go in there to get something and wonder how I managed for so long but I’m sure it all gave me some very interesting experiences that will come out in my future writing.
Thanks again and great to hear from you.
      Sandra
