Leaping Lizards!

Today’s prompt…

If you look closely you’ll see a little Blue Tongue Lizard among the bark chips. I haven’t seen any lizards here for a while but a very big one used to visit when we were living in our shed waiting for our house to be built. He/she would slide along the floor late at night, making an eerie sound. It gave me a bit of a fright the first time I heard it when I was there by myself but once I discovered what it was it was nice to have a bit of company 🙂  I found him in our bathroom (a rather generous name for our primitive shed out the back!) one day and was relieved to find that tail sticking out from behind the plastic ‘tub’ was a lizard and not a snake 🙂

A few months back I saw a small Blue Tongue in the garden beside the shed, so perhaps my larger friend was a proud parent.

  1. He(?) is certainly well-camouflaged, isn’t he? I’ve never seen a lizard except during visits to a zoo.
