I wondered how many people must have sat there in its lifetime…now that’s another start for a story. I need to get busy! Curiously, I found an old English penny in the gravel beside it, from the 1930s, in poor condition and not valuable in dollars and cents but when I hold it I feel very inspired so I guess its value is immeasurable!
Old money makes me curious, as to how many hands a simple penny may have passed through. I keep the few pieces I have separate, and touch them from time to time…just looking and feeling others’ lives.

Ouch! I can almost feel the splinters, Lancer…but it was sturdily built! I might think of restoring it….
