Hopping along

It always makes me wonder, when I see a lone shoe abandoned, what happened to the other one?

And . . . did the owner hop back to his/her car? Drive home with one naked foot . . .

Perhaps that cigarette butt is a clue . . . there must be a story . . .

  1. It does make one wonder, Lancer…how could a person not be aware of losing a shoe? Ah, but there ARE many ways, aren’t there….

    • It looks a bit shabby but also perfectly ‘worn in’ so surely it would be missed. I have an idea for a story and I think I’ll work on it today πŸ™‚

      • That’s a prompt, isn’t it? Personally, I have a pair of Converse high tops which are a bit ‘shabby-looking’ after seven and a half years…but I would be destroyed to lose one…they are black with cream pinstripes-quite distinctive–and still have a good sole and are very comfortable to walk in!

  2. Certainly something I wonder about – even more so when it’s undies that are left behind. Plenty of scope for stories. πŸ™‚

  3. Ha! Glad to know I’m not the only one who wonders about these things! Great picture — and certainly food for thought. πŸ™‚

    • It’s easy to leave a bag or similar behind but surely one would notice a missing shoe! I’m sure I would – I’m really sensitive to stones etc under my feet.

  4. By the look of the shoe it was running away with its mate in search of fresher air and ran out of puff.
