For Creative Writers Everywhere…

Earlier this week I made a lovely detour from pet-sitting duties at my daughter’s home in Gawler, to travel down the Adelaide coast to Hove/Brighton and visited the Seaside Writers’ Group. Despite the cold, stormy weather, I received the warmest of welcomes from a wonderful group, yet another that I would sincerely love to join. Thank you, everyone!

When I arrived, I found a large room at the Holdfast Bay Community Centre where two gentlemen where setting up chairs around the tables. “Is this the writing group?” I asked.

“Oh, no,” said one of the men with a serious look on his face. “This is for the sรฉance.”

My mouth dropped open and they both laughed ๐Ÿ™‚

I think that about summed up the feel of the group . . . lots of fun, great support and terrific writing. I’m so glad the timing of my brief stay enabled me to visit yet another wonderful group. I’m loving meeting subscribers and contributors as well as telling others all about Positive Words and hope I get the chance to visit many more groups in the coming weeks/months/years ๐Ÿ™‚

Please email me if your group is interested ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. How lovely to be able to do that!

  2. Oh my goodness — that photo is STUNNING!!! So, so beautiful and moody.

It sounds like a wonderful outing. I’ve always wanted to be part of a writer’s group, but never managed to find one to join. I think that’s one of the things I like about WordPress: it’s almost like a “writer’s group”. ๐Ÿ™‚ (Even though I’ve been sadly absent over the past few months. >.O)

  3. A beauty of a coast to inspire…and glad to hear you had such a fun time, Lancer…so many people seem to have lost their sense of humor in today’s world, so it’s good to know there’s a bit left, even as far away as Australia!
