Making Time

I’m sure I’m not the only one saying today How can it be December already?

So much to do and only so many hours in each day . . . time to prioritise, weed the unnecessary items off the list and relax!

Female companions wanted!

We bought this Male Kiwi Fruit plant a few weeks ago and were told the Female plants would be in soon!

(He’s settling in well despite a couple of hot and windy days (hence the bright yellow shade mesh) but we won’t get fruit without Females.)

Still waiting . . . I wonder if there’s an R.S.V.P. dating service for plants? 🙂

Sounds like a good idea for a story anyway, especially now I’ve completed NaNoWriMo. I’m still in eager writing mode…hope it continues!

Roses are Red

I wish you could smell the beautiful perfume!

I passed my NaNoWriMo target yesterday but after so much writing it was hard to stop 😦

I woke at 3:30am and though I tried couldn’t go back to sleep, so got up and wrote some more 🙂

Hopefully, I will continue to add to the story over the coming weeks although at a much slower pace. Once again, a great experience and one I’d heartily recommend to anyone.

Yesterday morning I heard a roaring sound followed by a huge crash and a herd of kangaroos racing away. These huge branches had fallen on a perfectly still morning. Every night the tree, in our neighbour’s property, is a roost for  local birdlife, mostly White Cockatoos and Corellas but I’ve also seen many other varieties there, including my favourite Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos passing through.

Bailey used to love playing there and catching rabbits a couple of years ago but as the area became more populated with a few more houses and residents, I worried about a ginger cat with a long fluffy tail being mistaken for a fox, so much to his disappointment he became a solely inside cat.

I’m glad he wasn’t there when the branches came down!

Have you ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time or the right place at the right time? Great idea for a story or poem – fact or fiction 🙂

Only 752 words left to reach my NaNo WriMo target…think I’ll have a cup of coffee and bring it home 🙂

The kids from a horse training property around the corner have been industrious, collecting bags of manure for pocket money.

My garden loves it 🙂

In between spreading it all, I’ve been industrious too, and have less than 3000 words to write to achieve the 50,000 word NaNoWriMo target!

My NaNo Writing Buddy and PW subscriber Glenda passed 50,000 words yesterday – Great going! Glenda has been a wonderful inspiration to me this year and deserves a very big THANK YOU  🙂

Now I’m off for a shower then back to writing . . .

My zucchini plants are growing slowly and steadily and will hopefully bear fruit in a few weeks 🙂

My NaNoWriMo story is progressing in much the same way and with only a few days left I’m confident of reaching the 50,000 word target in time!

I love watching my garden and stories grow . . . but not the weeds or my waistline 🙂

Time for some spring cleaning!

I’m always amazed when I spring clean through my writing files . . . there’s always one or two story or poem beginnings that started in hope but lost momentum. Unlike the cobwebs and accumulated bits and pieces I happily get rid of in spring cleaning the house(well, I do try!), I never delete those lonely paragraphs . . . one day they just might be useful 🙂

Turning on the Tap

I often wish I had a writing tap I could turn on at the most convenient times 🙂

Fortunately, my NaNoWriMo story is flowing steadily and I’m on target 🙂

What’s on the other side?

Always a great way to start a story or poem . . . imagine who or what is on the other side of the window 🙂

I took this photo from the airplane window as we waited on the tarmac and noticed a man standing at one of the windows and talking on a mobile phone. Who was he and what did he say? Probably nothing like my imagination conjured up 🙂

My NaNoWriMo story is still progressing . . . I love the way one idea begats another, and another, an another 🙂
