A perfect sunny day today after more welcome rain yesterday – I love autumn 🙂

These flower beds at Kyneton look in need of a good downpour, just like our garden 😦
Forecast earlier in the week predicted heavy falls for the weekend but now it’s ‘chance of rain’.
But, I’ll keep my finger crossed 🙂
Beautiful colour brightening up the dry surrounds 🙂
I smelled smoke on Friday, kept an eye out but eventually it disappeared. Then when Rod came home from work he saw the paddocks just 100metres or so down our street had been burnt. Amazing how much it spread considering there’s very little grass at the moment. Don’t know what happened but timely reminder that we can never be too careful, even though the weather is starting to cool down.
Only two leaves left to cover my Liquid Amber’s dignity and I suspect it will only take a breeze to send them floating to earth.
It’s cold today but at least I have the comfort of a nice house . . . although I think this place is only used as a weekend getaway. Brrrr…
Along with the overcast conditions, our USB Wireless internet is twice as temperamental. I don’t know why because it seems to be okay at night. Right now I’ve had to sit outside to get a connection and post today’s photo 😦
But before I came outside I lit the fire so I am sure it will be lovely and cosy when I go back inside 🙂
Although we’ve had it very dry for more than six months, we did manage to harvest a nice crop of pumpkins over the weekend 🙂
The rabbits attacked most other plants but left the pumpkins alone.
And . . . through the night we had some welcome rain with more promising clouds on the horizon 🙂
