I smelled smoke on Friday, kept an eye out but eventually it disappeared. Then when Rod came home from work he saw the paddocks just 100metres or so down our street had been burnt. Amazing how much it spread considering there’s very little grass at the moment. Don’t know what happened but timely reminder that we can never be too careful, even though the weather is starting to cool down.

We have extreme weather conditions forecast here for the next week and there are already fires burning in South Australia. I hope everyone stays safe.
