Prompt Sheets & Writing Groups

As I write this, the social isolation restrictions have only been in place for a short time but already several people have contacted me saying how much they miss their writing groups. Me, too ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  We are emailing and phoning to try and keep in touch and Iโ€™ve continued to email our โ€˜lesson/homeworkโ€™ sheets out so we stay inspired.

Some years ago I offered weekly lesson sheets/prompts in exchange for unused stamps (to help with the postage costs each month for the magazine) and many people enjoyed them. If anyone missing their writing group inspiration would like me to start this again, I can offer a weekly sheet via email or snail-mailed with ideas and exercises โ€“ one postage stamp ($1.10) per sheet or the equivalent (direct deposit etc).

Despite having much more time to write now, often we need that extra encouragement or incentive so please contact me if you would like to be a part of this. Email โ€“ positivewordsmagazine@live.com.au or snail mail – Sandra James, PO Box 798, Heathcote 3523 Victoria.

Brooding

Even though there are three perfectly good nests in the pen, this hen preferred to lay her eggs right in the doorway and has now gone broody. I’m very careful where I step when I collect the rest of the eggs ๐Ÿ™‚
