A writing prompt for today…

Where would we be without them? In the last couple of weeks I’ve observed three generations of situations where true friends have supported others in need . . . I’m sure there must be a story in that 🙂

Today’s prompt . . .

Friends 🙂

Where would we be without them?

Today’s prompt . . .

Do too many cooks spoil the broth or do many hands make light work?

I’ve often wondered 🙂

With a little help from my friends :)

That’s today’s prompt . . . inspired by the lovely emails and messages I’ve received lately 🙂

It really does help when times are tough  – Thank you!

Changing times

Today’s prompt . . .

Could I borrow a cup of sugar?

A common question in stories, TV and film in the past but these days there are so many people who don’t know their neighbours.

What’s your weather?

Last night I spoke to my son Nathaniel in Queensland who has teeming rain.

This morning an email from a lady in England who has snow.

I started out very early this morning watering as many trees and plants as I could before our temperature climbs to the expected top of 42 degrees.

What’s the weather doing in your area?

Pure Gold

I’ve been truly moved by the wonderful messages and thoughts sent by subscribers and readers, through cards, letters and emails in the last couple of weeks. Thank you! It has been a bit of an uphill climb this year, with both magazine finances and personal hiccups but the incredible support has really helped to lift my spirits and I’m sure everything else will fall into place in 2014 🙂
