Ruffled feathers


I think we might have a few ruffled feathers this week with another four days forecast at 40 and above ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

The heatwave continues across Victoria (and many other places) and there’s no relief expected until the weekend.

Sadly, two of my bantam hens died yesterday and today is forecast to be even hotter ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Hot weather


A very hot week forecast here . . . 39 today, then into the forties and up to 44 on Friday ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

We’ve been busy over the weekend watering all the plants and trees, filling the smaller watering tanks from the dam and keeping our fingers crossed they all survive.

Terrible bushfire in WA and a heatwave all across the southern states – I hope everyone is safe!


Brave Blooms


Today’s prompt…

Despite attacks from cockatoos and rabbits, heatย and less than half the average rainfall for the past three months . . . a couple of Agapanthus are flowering, although much smaller than usual ๐Ÿ™‚

New South Wales is preparing for potentially the worst heat/fire conditions in history and parts of other states are also on alert. I hope everyone stays safe!

I am sure there are many people in Australia a little on edge today as the weather bureau forecasts extreme conditions, possibly the worst in 50 years. I hope we all stay safe and although it can be difficult not to worry, try to keep cool and think of favourite things…I love these pansies grown by my Mum and Dad ๐Ÿ™‚
