Today’s prompt . . .
The morning after began like most days and it wasn’t until he was halfway through his first mug of coffee that he remembered . . .
I’ve had a couple of emails this morning asking if I will be extending the closing date for the Positive Words Short Story and Poetry Competition…in fairness to the other entrants I am unable to do this but for those who missed out there is still the monthly mini-competition – this month featuring the word KNITTING. And details for the next major competition will be announced soon.
Watch this space 🙂
Today’s prompt . . .
Knit one, purl one.
Hope this prompt will inspire you for the Positive Words magazine April Mini-competition – mini themes 2014
or another story, poem, article or memory.
For me, I’m remembering sitting in my Nan’s back room with the sun streaming in the window as she taught me my first stitches. What patience she must have had!
But . . . the miles/kilometres of yarn I’ve knitted and purled since then have been worth every dropped stitch 🙂
St Andrews . . . here we come 🙂
I was intrigued to see reports on Sunrise this morning about a traveller who believes he saw the Loch Ness Monster recently.
Elijah and Eilidh passed by Loch Ness a couple of weeks ago but Nessie must have been hiding 😦
But . . . they did bring me back this knitting book and now I can knit my own Nessie 🙂
Perhaps I’ll sit it by our dam and name it the Loch James Monster 🙂
…lots of little feet 🙂
I finished this order a couple of weeks ago but I haven’t stopped since! Not much time for writing although last night as I knitted, purled and passed the slip stitch over, I had an idea for a short story. I hope the photo inspires you, too 🙂
A row here, a row there . . . I take my needles and yarn everywhere!
But, I should be adding a line here and a line there to my writing 😦
