Today’s prompt . . .

An unexpected windfall.

Unfortunately, this prompt was not inspired by real events ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

But . . . I can still dream ๐Ÿ™‚

Today . . . you could labour over the vacuuming . . . or, you could relax with a cuppa and read the latest issue of Positive Words magazine. Then . . . you could be inspired to write your own story or poem and send it in!

Tough choice? Surely a no-brainer ๐Ÿ™‚

The September issue should have arrived or be not far away for subscribers and contributors. There was a delay on a few after yours truly arrived at the Post Office earlier this week to purchase some more stamps, only to discover she had left that vital piece of plastic at home on the coffee table ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I only had a small amount of cash in my purse so the rest had to wait as it was almost closing time and over ten kms to home. How dependent we’ve become on those withdrawal cards ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

If anyone would like a copy of the September issue, very pretty in pink and filled with great stories and poems, send $5.50 (cheque, money order or unused stamps) to The Editor, Positive Words magazine, PO Box 798, Heathcote 3523, Victoria. (Or, contact me for direct deposit/paypal details

Whether you work, rest or find a comfortable balance today . . . I hope you all have a great day ๐Ÿ™‚

Money, Money, Money!

The Jade plant is supposed to bring money or good luck. I can never remember whether it is meant to be situated on the left or right side of the front door for best advantage, and even if I did remember . . . is it the left or right going in or going out? And, I’ve also heard that one needs another plant at the back door to keep the money or good luck in.ย  At my former home I had several plants at both the front and back doors and on both sides . . . mostly because they grew well there more than to attract money. I don’t know if this pot is on the best side of the door but it is thriving and seems to love its position ๐Ÿ™‚

Money, Money, Money

Today’s prompt…

As you can see about the only similarity between the Australian and American ten dollar notes is the number 10! A writer from the USA sent me the American note a few weeks ago. Both notes look as though they’ve passed through many hands andย lived in many wallets and purses. If only they could tell their stories ๐Ÿ™‚

NaNoWriMo Update: Yesterday was another good writing day although not much else got done here ๐Ÿ˜ฆย ย  Today, I lay in bed before getting up and planned my character’s next moves, plotted her progress and even imagined her feelings and reactions and I’m hoping for another good writing day. I wish my life was as easy to plan…already I’m well behind after yet another computer glitch so I’ll just have to drop ‘housework’ from today’s list ๐Ÿ™‚ย  My total stands at 34,548!

What would you buy?

Today’s prompt…

If I had $10 I’d buy…

NaNoWriMo Update:ย  I was pleased to find once I’d re-typedย  my handwritten piece from the previous night that I wasn’t too far off target…about 275 words behind, but, of course, then the next target awaited. Fortunately, it was an easier writing day and I ended up with 11,514 words, just 152 words short. I’m finding the story flows well in parts and the words quickly add up but at other times it’s very hard going and each word is like pulling teeth ๐Ÿ˜ฆย  This morning I’ve woken with a fresh idea, so I’m hoping it will tie in and keep the story rolling…

Lucky Pennies

A prompt for today…

Find a penny, pick it up and all day you’ll have good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

Okay, it’s not a penny, it’s five cents but maybe that means five times the luck!
