And…as always submissions and subscriptions for the monthly magazine, now in its eighteenth year, are always very welcome. The support helps to keep Positive Words magazine going 🙂 Thank you!
Bear in mind that I am not very Facebook savvy but I have started a page for Positive Words magazine. Hopefully, I will be able to post information, competition results etc and reach more writers.
Check it out and let me know what you think 🙂
Thank you everyone. Here are the results for January : Positive Words JANUARY 2018 Mini Results

My apologies for the late posting of results. Amongst the chaos during our house repairs I’m afraid quite a few things have been delayed or neglected but the house is finally back to its old self and I am endeavouring to unpack all the boxes that were hastily stowed last year and get back to some kind of order!
Please find the results here : Results
And…for those who want to enter the next competition please find an entry form here: Entry form Cover sheets are also accepted in lieu of an entry form 🙂 Entries need to be posted by 23 April, not necessarily received by then to allow for the sometimes erratic postal delivery 🙂
Thank you everyone 🙂
Apologies to everyone waiting for the competition results and/or latest magazines. First the flash flood and last week I broke my ankle, followed by bad reactions to pain medication which has slowed me down a little. Just a little! The results will be posted in the next couple of days and any remaining magazines posted. Thanks everyone for your understanding 🙂
I can’t drive as it’s my right foot so have to wait until someone drives me or at least takes the mail. And…at last I have builders here starting on the repairs to our flood damaged house. Still a way to go but I’m sure by the time my ankle heals it will be a distant memory 🙂
I’m feeling much better than I did this time last week and am once again making up for lost time, all with the background hammering, sawing and banging 🙂
My apologies to everyone for the slow arrival of the December issue. I was a few days late getting it to the printer after the flash flood that inundated our house, but after two weeks it still isn’t ready for collection and I suspect a very busy workload close to Christmas and perhaps the flood that hit Euroa, where Positive Words is printed, two weeks after our flood might have slowed things as well. Hopefully, it won’t be too far away and I have the envelopes all stamped and addressed ready to post as soon as I pick up the copies.
And, the January issue is almost complete and ready to be sent to the printer. They close down over Christmas/New Year so I’m hoping it will be printed before then and able to be sent out in time to give everyone some relaxing summer reading.
Thanks everyone for your understanding 🙂
Thank you to all who have taken the time to contact me after hearing of our little flood. All the messages and kind thoughts mean so much and make a big difference 🙂
The worst of the clean-up is done although I have a few damp boxes on the verandah just outside the back door filled with papers and bits and pieces saved, everything from pieces published, prize certificates etc to clippings I thought might one day be useful. Maybe a few surprises still to come; that will be top of this week’s to-do list!
The clean-up crew have been wonderful and I cannot praise them highly enough for their efficiency in doing their jobs and also their kind attitudes which make all the difference. The soggy floor coverings have been ripped up and taken away with our lounge suite and various pieces of wooden furniture and drapes, and piles and piles of belongings stored at ground level (books, fabric, wool, clothes, linen and, sadly, a few sentimental items), have been sorted, photographed and catalogued by those wonderful men before being taken away. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before the repairs (skirting boards etc) begin, new floor coverings are installed and the insurance company come up with a fair settlement to cover the belongings. So far, so good 🙂
The December issue is almost complete, a little late going off to the printer but I am sure you will all understand 🙂
