Let Me Out of Here!

Guess we all know just how poor Dora feels, especially in the hectic lead-up to Christmas 😦

At least she’s still smiling πŸ™‚

Slippery Slide

Oh, to be a child again πŸ™‚

Soldiering On

Today’s prompt…

Amid all the modern Christmas toys, this old-style Toy Soldier stands guard at the entrance to the Myer toy section πŸ™‚

My visitors have all arrived home safely; it’s always a relief to get those calls πŸ™‚

I feel like I’ve already had my Christmas, being with all my children at the same time for the first time in over ten years but forΒ the rest of the world there are still five more sleeps!

Baby in the House :)

Today’s prompt…

Yes, we have a baby in the house! Nathaniel, Chau and Jackie arrived last night at 6pm after driving 1400 kilometres in one day! Not surprisingly, they are still asleep although Jackie slept most of the way in the car so might cut short his parents’ rest soon 😦   That’s when Grandma will come in handy πŸ™‚Β  He’s grown, of course, as he was only 4 months old last time I visited and is now almost 13 months old.

It is a re-education for me . . . it’s a long time since I’ve had to put breakables and child unfriendly things up high or away but I’m sure he will provide lots of inspiration for future stories and poems πŸ™‚
