Today’s prompt . . .
The doctor said the tests were just routine and she happily fronted up to the pathology department to be greeted by a friendly receptionist. She chatted to elderly lady waiting beside her, wished her a nice day when her number was finally called. She settled comfortably in the chair, unafraid, and watched as the shining steel pierced her pink skin. Then glanced up at the pathologist who grinned back with shiny white teeth and two long fangs . . .
I had blood tests this morning and the pathologist was really very nice . . . but why ruin a good piece of fiction with the boring truth 🙂
